Have a quick look at your washing machine, what brand logo do you see? Samsung, Bosch, Neff & Siemens are just a few of the brands you may see, but are they actually the manufacturers of the product? Well, most of the time the answer is no.
Typically these companies have usually been acquired by much larger brands who usually keep the brand name for reasons of marketing the product. The result is that if a customer is unsatisfied with a machine they have purchased in the past they may avoid the brand in the future, however a lot of these larger brands own quite a few household names so you may end up with the exact same brand again despite originally wanting to avoid it.
A prime example of this happening in action is the brands Hoover & Candy as these are now both owned by the same company, the Candy Group. It’s also the same for brands like Hotpoint, Indesit and Creda as these are all made by the same manufacturer so in order to make you aware here are a few examples of certain brands that are made by the same companies…
Candy – This large brand own Hoover, Zerowatt and Kelvinator, they also own several more, smaller brands.
ISE – This brand are currently developed by Beko but it is currently made by Asko.
Merloni – Another large company that own several brands such as Indesit, Ariston, English Electric, Thorn, Cannon, GDA, New World, Philco, Hotpoint, Creda and more.
